Is it possible to transmit a link to a WhatsApp group call?
WhatsApp, the popular messaging app, is working on a new feature for group calls, WABetainfo said.
According to the WhatsApp news tracker, the company is now testing a feature that allows users to build and share links inviting their friends to join a group call even after it has begun.
As we all know, WhatsApp is always trying to enhance the programme. It intends to improve the user experience with a future upgrade.
However, the new function would be distinct from the one used to join Messenger Rooms on Facebook, since it would be restricted to certain users.
When a WhatsApp call link is generated, the call is hosted on the platform and can be joined only by people who have a WhatsApp account, in contrast to the Messenger Rooms’ shortcut, which may be joined by anyone, including non-account holders.
Because WhatsApp calls are always end-to-end encrypted, the new method of communication will remain the same.
The function is being worked on now, and it will be announced as soon as WhatsApp makes it available.
