The FBR is looking for budget ideas from stakeholders on income tax and customs.

The Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) has sought budget proposals on income tax and customs from all concerned stakeholders, including chambers of commerce and trade associations across the country.

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) has sought budget proposals on income tax and customs from all concerned stakeholders, including chambers of commerce and trade associations across the country.

In the next fiscal year (2022–23), the FBR will provide protection to the local industry through tariffs on final goods prepared in accordance with the federal budget for 2022–23. The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and other chambers of commerce across the country have sought budget proposals on income tax and customs from all relevant stakeholders, including trade associations.

The FBR has asked trade associations and chambers of commerce to submit proposals on income tax, sales tax, and Pakistan Customs to the Federal Board of Revenue by March 31.

According to FBR officials, letters have been sent to all concerned stakeholders, including the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, stating that the FBR has started work on budget proposals for Finance Bill 2022–23. Suggestions are being prepared in consultation with all stakeholders.

The Federal Board of Revenue has requested that trade groups and chambers of commerce make suggestions on income tax, sales tax, and Pakistan Customs by March 31.

According to FBR officials, letters have been issued to all relevant stakeholders, including the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, informing them that the FBR has begun work on budget recommendations for the Finance Bill 202223. Suggestions are being developed with input from all stakeholders.
