A consumer electronics show in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, was held at the same time, with robots that looked like humans on display.
According to AFP, the robot was created by the British firm Engineering Arts, whose director, Morgan Rowe, claims that the robot he created, dubbed Ameka, has “extremely distinct and outstanding facial expressions” and “looks like a person.” He went on to say that you’ve probably seen robots that blend in with humans and work in movies.

Morgan further stated that Amika, the robot, has no caste, religion, political philosophy, or gender.
Morgan also revealed a shocking fact about Ameka: the robot’s structure and impressions were purposefully faulty to make it seem a bit different from actual humans so that people wouldn’t mistake it for one. They may have been in a trance, but when the robot gives them a new experience, their uncertainty vanishes.
