5-year trade policy aims to increase exports to 57 57 billion
ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Commerce has issued a new five-year 2020-25 trade policy with a target to increase exports to 57 57 billion, value added textile and textile exports to 40 40 billion.
According to the document, under the new trade policy, exports are targeted to reach 57 57 billion, value-added textile and textile exports are targeted at 40 40 billion.
Leather exports ایک 1.384 billion, rice exports 3 3 billion, food and beverage exports 53 1.536 billion, fruit and vegetable exports ایک 1.36 billion, surgical instruments exports 82 82 million. The target is set at 1 million.
Eighteen export sectors have been added to the priority list, including 7 traditional and 11 development sectors, a monitoring system for implementation of trade policy and a board for policy implementation and monitoring, headed by the Prime Minister. National Export Development Board was formed.
