Mini budget is ready, will be present when the government says, the chairman of the FBR

Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed said that the mini budget was prepared, the government would present it whenever said.

He said that sales tax exemptions were being drawn in a mini budget and tax exemptions on food and medicines would be maintained.

FRB Chairman Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed said that taxes will be imposed on imports of luxury items.

Speaking with reporters at the Parliament House, Islamabad, he said that it was recommended to impose additional taxes on imported vehicles. Sales tax on oil products will be applied at the refinery stage. Tax exclusion on food and medicine will remain.
