LAHORE: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has given a notification to Punjab Minister for Housing Mahmoodur Rasheed for partaking in electioneering for a decision PTI’s possibility for PP-51, Gujranwala.
The notification, given on Friday by District Monitoring Officer Ibrar Ahmad Jatoi, says the priest had disregarded Section-182 of the Election Act, 2017 that denies public gatherings during specific periods (48 hours before the surveying day).
It said that the clergyman had partaken in the political race of PTI candidate Muhammad Yousif on the surveying day.
Mr Rasheed has been coordinated to present a composed answer to the notification inside two days
