Japan’s stocks rose after the close on Monday, led by gains in the rubber, transportation equipment, and textile sectors.
The Nikkei 225 gained 0.07% at the close in Tokyo.
The best performer on the Nikkei 225 during the session was Yokohama Rubber Co Ltd (TYO:5101), which rose 10.20% or 226.00 points to close at 2,441.00. Citizen Holdings Co., Ltd. (TYO: 7762) gained 4.38% or 35.00 points to close at 835.00, while Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. (TYO: 3863) gained 4.35% or 42.00 points to close at 1,007.00.
