KARACHI/ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan is set to uncover a significant advancement plan for Karachi worth an incredible Rs802 billion during his visit to the city on Friday (tomorrow), Geo News announced.
The Karachi Transformation Plan (KTP) has been set up on the orders of the executive to address the city’s serious issues including sewerage, transport and arrangement of clean drinking water to the majority.
Ongoing heavy rains unleashed destruction in the city guaranteeing many lives and uncovering the delipidated framework of the city.
As indicated by the archives, the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) — worth Rs300 billion — has been incorporated as one of the activities under the Rs802-billion KTP’s mass travel frameworks. While China would give Rs250 billion, the legislature of Sindh would add Rs50 billion to the undertaking.
Six mass travel framework ventures worth Rs447.43 billion would be reported under the KTP.
Among the improvement ventures are eight sewerage ventures, four strong waste administration ventures, two water seepage ventures, and different street development and fix ventures costing an expected Rs162.60 billion, Rs14.86 billion, Rs4.70 billion, and Rs62.30 billion, separately.
