The rupee is continuing to climb against the dollar
The local currency was boosted by Rs1.64 against the greenback.
KARACHI – Pakistani currency was stable during the third day in the week after it posted a fresh rebound with respect to US dollar in the interbank market on Wednesday.
According to data The local currency appreciated in value by Rs1.64 when compared to greenback,, which was traded at between Rs224 and Rs234. The rupee was trading with Rs226.64 in the early hours of Tuesday as per the Pakistan central bank’s figures.
In the last few days of gains the rupee has gained Rs15.94 from its record-high of Rs239.94.

Dar He, who took over from Miftah Ismail in the post of finance minister claimed that the actual price of Pakistani rupee is under 200 against US dollar. The government has a plan to bring the greenback down to 200 dollars against Pakistani rupees, the currency of local origin.
