ASAD UMER PREDICTS CASES TO BE LOWERED

Arranging Minister Asad Umar on Friday said that the National Command and Control Center (NCOC), in the wake of looking into ongoing Covid-19 figures, accepts that the quantity of across the country cases before the finish of June will be 225,000 or less.

Prior, the legislature had anticipated that there would be around 300,000 cases before the current month’s over. Umar, while tending to the media nearby Information Minister Shibli Faraz, said that the decrease in the anticipated figures “demonstrates that on the off chance that we as a whole make the best choice and everybody plays out their obligation on an individual level while the administration carries out its responsibility on a public level, a noteworthy accomplishment in controling the spread can be seen”.

Specifying the explanations for the decrease in figures, Umar stated: “The vast majority understood their obligation. Not every person acknowledged [their responsibility] and accordingly, the legislature needed to take some regulatory measures.

“Therefore, we are currently taking a gander at 225,000 cases rather than 300,000 — which we at first dreaded.”
