After repairs, the Motiva Port Arthur, Texas, refinery resumes the hydrocracker-sources.

Houston, Motiva Enterprises reopened the huge hydrocracker at its 626,000-barrel-per-day (bpd) Port Arthur, Texas, refinery over the weekend, according to people who know how the plant works.

According to sources, Hydrocracker 2 (HCU-2) was shut down on Friday to fix a leak on the main charge pump. On Saturday evening, the seal was restored and the unit was restarted. By Monday, normal operations had resumed.
