Its Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) account for the Solana Status reported that the Solana network has experienced an issue and cannot process transactions. Developers from across Solana were looking into the problem and trying to restore the network. Meanwhile, the Twitter handle was sharing frequent updates regarding the issue.
The Solana network is experiencing an outage, and isn’t processing transactions. The developers across the ecosystem are working towards discovering the root of the problem and restore the Solana network. More details will be released as soon as it is made available.

In the meantime, huge distress resulted by the fact that the $2.5 million Solana liquidation contract on the Mango market was unable complete the transaction because the Solana network was shut down. The holder wasn’t in a position to increase margins or liquidate.
But, this isn’t the first time that the Solana network has experienced an extensive outage. In fact, this is the fourth outage this year. Blockchain networks have previously been criticized for numerous outages in the months of January and May.
Within an hour of their initial Tweet, Solana Status tweeted a hyperlink to a page titled “Solana Mainnet-Beta Cluster Restart 1.” The document was targeted at beta testers on the mainnet, requesting them to adhere to the cluster restart guidelines.
But, most validators could not follow the restart instructions due to due to the Solana network’s internal problems. According to P2 Moo’s Twitter account the majority of validators were unable to continue beyond the slot 153139220, which is a bad block, distributed through a validator who was that was not able to be reached at the time.
Furthermore, other validators attempted to solve the issue through skilling the IPs but without rebooting. But those efforts failed eventually and Solana posted via Twitter that validators had successfully restarted their Mainnet Beta. However, client services will be restored over the next few hours.
