Islamabad: Fuel price adjustments have made it clear that trillions of rupees have been taken from electricity users this year.
Nepra documents showed that 560 billion rupees were spent on electricity users in the first seven months of 2022. This was called a “heavy fuel price adjustment.” Because of the change in fuel prices, electricity cost 5 rupees (94 paisa) more per unit in January and 4 rupees (25 paisa) more per unit in February.

In March, consumers were charged an extra 150 billion rupees. The price of electricity went up by 2 rupees 86 paise in March, 3 rupees 99 paise in April, 7 rupees 90 paise in May, and 9 rupees 89 paise per unit in June. done
