12-Year-Old Breaks Record in NFT Sale, Raises £750K for Strange Whales

In a world where NFTs and cryptocurrencies are gaining popularity, many NFT artists are concentrating their efforts on developing new concepts and earning a substantial sum of money. Benyamin Ahmed, a 12-year-old child, recently made £750,000 by selling his collection of NFTs.

He designed a series of pixelated whale-themed NFTs, dubbed Weird Whales, which sold out in hours and earned him £110,000. Adding this sum to what he made from previous endeavours results in a total of £750,000. However, this massive sum is being invested in Ethereum, which some say would be worthless.

His NFT series consists of 3,350 multicoloured NFTs of pixelated whales. It was first marketed for $60 per piece. The price increased as demand for his NFTs increased. Eventually, some pieces from the collection were sold for roughly $20,000.

Surprisingly, Benyamin, in addition to being a well-known NFT expert, has taught NFTs at Oxford University. He is certain that NFTs will rule the future currency and that he may be the inheritor of its prosperity. The preteen began working on NFTs last year, as Bitcoin’s value began to rise.

Benyamin began learning to code at the age of five from his father, who is a computer programmer. This prompted him to investigate the realm of NFTs. Following the success of this project, he said that he wanted to keep spreading the word about NFT to a lot of people.

According to Benyamin:

My classmates are aware of what I do and have applauded me. Although I’m not sure everyone gets it completely! However, many people are now aware of my experience, and it makes me pleased to see that many others are learning about NFTs as a result of my efforts. I’d like to continue introducing new people to the NFT space.

Additionally, he said that each sector has a digital domain that produces the greatest results. Using digital art is very useful and can be proven, says Benyamin. Anyone who wants to join can do so with the same permissions or privileges.
