Will the DG ISPR provide clarification on whether the NSC meeting declared 197 members of the NA traitors: Bilawal
ISLAMABAD— Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), said on Monday that Imran Khan is using an ‘international plot‘ to excuse his coup.
If the National Security Council (NSC) said that the members of the National Assembly were traitors and were part of a foreign plot, Bilawal Bhutto said, then the DG ISPR should tell him or her if the Foreign Office or the Defense Ministry can produce any official correspondence between July 7 and July 27 that talks about the foreign plot.
In fact, a conspiracy of this magnitude would have been discovered by our own intelligence services and other institutions, not merely via an ambassador’s letter. Imran’s ego does not take precedence over Pakistan.
It is worth noting that the opposition’s aspirations to depose the premier were crushed when Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Qasim Suri rejected a no-confidence resolution against Prime Minister Imran Khan on the grounds that it violated Article 5 of the Constitution.
“No foreign state has the authority to depose a democratically elected government in Pakistan. Because the law minister’s reasons are true, I rule that this no-confidence motion violates the constitution. “In accordance with the rules of conduct, the motion is denied, “the deputy speaker declared.
