Instant messaging application WhatsApp has recently introduced several important features for users, including hiding your online status from certain people, leaving groups without notification, etc. Now, WhatsApp is going to introduce an important status feature for its beta users.
Media reports say that in the latest beta versions of WhatsApp for iOS and Android, users can see their statuses in their chat lists.
As can be seen in the viral screenshot, WhatsApp statuses are now showing up in the chat list of some beta users. However, the Status tab remains in place.
The new user interface change has come as a shortcut only and will not replace the aforementioned tab.
This new change is available to certain beta users who test the features. However, users will have to wait for the general release of this feature, which is still under development.
