Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to address the country today as political tensions escalate ahead of the discussion on the premier’s no-confidence vote.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed told reporters that the prime minister would address the country later today after an extraordinary meeting of the federal cabinet.
Earlier today, the premier declared that he would present to prominent media and PTI friends “written proof” of the letter he has been claiming includes evidence of a foreign plot against the government, in order to quiet his opponents who have dubbed the letter’s content “a theatre.”
Rasheed revealed after the news that Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has invited ten journalists to see the letter today.
“Politics has begun,” he remarked, noting that the vote on the motion of no confidence will take place on April 3.
