The Punjab government’s spokesman says the government would fight a no-confidence vote in the legislature.
LAHORE, Hasaan Khawar, the Punjab government’s spokesperson, said on Monday that the government would fiercely oppose the no-confidence vote.
According to a statement, the Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) for two weeks has met with many MPA members. Sardar Usman Buzdar has been meeting with a lot of MPA members over that time.
Hasaan Khawar said that we are ready to fight against the opposition’s no-trust resolution in the Punjab Assembly, and we will.
It is worth noting that a prominent leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party, Hamza Shahbaz, said on Monday that the no-confidence vote against Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar would succeed.
Statement: Hamza Shahbaz said in a statement that a no-trust motion has been filed against Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar. The opposition has worked out how to get rid of him.
In response to a question about who should be the next Chief Minister of Punjab, the Opposition Leader of the Punjab Assembly said that getting rid of the government is more important than picking a new person.
People who aren’t in favour of Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar tried to pass a resolution of no confidence in him earlier today.
The resolution was introduced by a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz member of the Punjab Assembly (MPA) (PML-N). Additionally, the opposition has filed a demand to convene the assembly session.
It’s important to point out that after a vote of no confidence is filed, the Chief Minister can’t dissolve the Punjab Assembly in line with the law.
Whereas the Speaker of the House is required to convene an Assembly session within 14 days following the filing of a resolution of no confidence against the Chief Minister.
