ISLAMABAD:- The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CCPA) has asked for a Rs 7.09 increase in electricity prices.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) says that on June 27, it will hold a hearing on the CCPA’s request to raise power prices.
The plea says that furnace oil was used to make 8.80% of the electricity in May at a cost of Rs 33.67 paisa per unit.
In the petition, CCPA also said that 10% of the electricity comes from local gas, 22.89% comes from imported LNG, and 24.5% comes from hydropower.
