The PM orders the prompt payment of freelancers and IT firms.

The PM coordinates the timely implementation of incentives for freelancers and information technology firms.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan told officials Friday to speed up the implementation of government incentives and facilities for freelancers and the IT industry.

The prime minister, who presided over a meeting to look at incentives given to the information technology industry, said that the government was giving the most help to sectors that could help the country’s economy the most.

He mentioned the government’s historic package for promoting the IT industry, saying that the government has implemented major measures to ease business.

He thought that making it easier for people to work as freelancers would lead to more money coming back to the country because the government was trying to get more people to use computers.

Attendees at the meeting were told about the progress of the incentives for start-ups, the industrial sector, and information technology firms.

According to reports, the government’s new industries and information technology package is being put into place quickly and has led to a rise in the number of freelancers.

At the meeting, it was told that freelancers can now register through the Pakistan Software Export Board’s site, which will register them with the Federal Board of Revenue right away.

Additionally, the State Bank of Pakistan was ensuring the transfer of freelance payments from overseas through banking systems. In addition, a system for IT businesses to get tax breaks is going to be set up soon.
