ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced the establishment of the Pak-China Business Investment Forum.
As the Chief Guest, Prime Minister Imran Khan attended the commencement of the Pak-China Business Investment Forum. The Prime Minister, speaking at the event, said, “Thank you for your participation in the Pakistan-China Investment Forum. To cope with the problems, the government requires input from both nations. For investors, time is of the essence. We have labour, including young and skilled individuals.” Yes, the country cannot thrive just by selling veggies; it is also vital to restrict the outflow of funds.
Money laundering, according to Imran Khan, is a major problem in impoverished nations, with enormous sums of money being transported from poor to affluent countries every year. He went on to say that Pakistan is rapidly urbanising, that green spaces are vanishing, that the population is growing, and that cities are developing. According to him,
The Board of Investment Pakistan and the All Pakistan Chinese Enterprise Association together established the Pak-China Business Investment Forum with the goal of expanding Chinese firms’ investment in Pakistan and developing business-to-business and industrial collaboration.
Following the attendance of over 70 firms at the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Business Conference in March of last year, it was decided to establish a business forum in coordination with the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan and the Board of Investment to improve business-to-business interaction.
There are 18 Chinese firms and 19 Pakistani companies in the forum. The forum’s goal is to improve collaboration in the fields of long-term investment in Pakistan, export industry growth, and contemporary technology.
