Multan Sultans will benefit from all-rounder Tim David’s return ahead of their Pakistan Super League (PSL) final against Lahore Qalandars.
It’s Sunday, and the Lahore Qalandars are trying to win their first PSL title when they take on the reigning champions, the Multan Sultans, at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Multan were dealt a severe setback ahead of their qualifying match against Lahore Qalandars earlier this week when their star all-rounder tested positive for COVID-19. However, he has already healed completely and will be eligible for the final.
Tim David of the Multan Sultans is infected with COVID-19.
The Sultans have played champion-like cricket since the start of PSL 7 in Karachi a month ago. They set a new PSL record by winning nine of ten round-robin matches and are now riding high going into the final.
The Sultans qualified for their second consecutive final with a 28-run victory over the Qalandars in Wednesday’s qualifier, while the Qalandars qualified for their second final in three years with a thrilling victory over Islamabad United on Friday evening, which undoubtedly warmed the hearts of their massive Lahore fan base.
