ISLAMABAD: On Monday, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi claimed that the current administration has effectively raised the Kashmir issue at the United Nations and other international forums.
He was presiding over a gathering of scholars from the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) and the Institute of Regional Studies (IRS) Islamabad (IRS).
The conference was attended by Special Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Raza Bashir Tarar, Director General of the ISSI ambassador Azaz Chaudhry, President of the Institute of Regional Studies ambassador Nadeem Riaz, and top officers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the shifting regional and international landscape, think tanks, according to the minister, play a critical role in reforming foreign relations on modern lines.
“While bearing in mind the political obstacles, we must promote the worldwide quality of research.”
He stated that Pakistan was focusing on economic issues, as per Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision.
