The ECP has released the timetable for the first phase of Punjab’s local government elections.

ISLAMABAD: that on Thursday, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) released the timetable for the first phase of local government (LG) elections in Punjab, Pakistan.

According to the Election Commission’s spokesman, voting in the first phase of the LG elections in Punjab will take place on June 9, while nomination papers may be filed between April 21 and 25.

Also, a spokesman said that polls would be held in 14 districts across Punjab in the first phase.

DG Khan, Rajanpur, Muzaffargarh, Layyah, Khanewal, Vehari, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot, Khushab, Sialkot, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Jhelum, and Attock are the districts where LG votes will be conducted in the first phase.
