The country’s power shortage has reached 5000 megawatts.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – the power deficit has surpassed 5000 megawatts owing to technical challenges and a fuel scarcity in power facilities.

According to data, the hydroelectric output is also seeing a decline owing to low water levels in dams around the nation, which has contributed to the country’s energy shortage.

As a result, unplanned electrical load-shedding has grown to up to eight hours a day in some parts of the country.

People say that the total output is 14000 megawatts, but the total energy consumption is more than 19000 megawatts.
