The country’s oil refinery has threatened to cut oil production

The country’s oil refinery has threatened to cut oil production.

According to Bollywood news, the government insisted on using imported furnace oil instead of local power plants while the IPP was also not asked to buy fuel from local refineries.

Oil refineries run out of storage capacity because of non-purchase of furnace oil locally. After that the oil refinery is threatened to stop oil production.

Regarding oil sales, Attock oil refineries have written a letter to the government stating that we have an oil storage capacity of 8 to 10 days.

The government imported large amounts of furnace oil but did not buy furnace oil from the local oil refinery. In addition, the IPP was not asked to buy oil from a local refinery.

The letter said that the oil purchase order must be issued for PSO and Capco. If the purchase of oil does not start, the refinery will be forced to close.

It should be noted that gas oil and imported furnaces are most widely used for power plants in this country. Imported furnace oil also increases the cost of power plants.
