When Shehbaz Sharif was elected as Prime Minister of Pakistan, he led the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), which is the country’s 23rd largest party.
It was said by Ayaz Sadiq, the Speaker of the National Assembly (NA), that Shehbaz Sharif has won 174 votes to become Pakistan’s 23rd Prime Minister.
To choose Pakistan’s 23rd Prime Minister, the National Assembly began its meeting. Imran Khan was ousted in the early hours of Sunday after a vote of no-confidence.
The House Leader was chosen by a vote held in the NA lobby designated for that purpose.
Following the conclusion of the voting procedure, the NA speaker announced the winner.
It should be remembered that in the 342-member House, 172 votes are necessary to be named Leader of the House.
