The value of the rupee rose by Rs1.5 against the dollar.
Karachi : On Thursday, the inter-bank market showed that the US dollar was getting stronger against the Pakistani rupee. This was the fourth working day of the week.
Details show that the local currency gained Rs1.5 against the U.S. dollar, which was worth around Rs222.44. Pakistan’s central bank said that the rupee ended the day on Wednesday at Rs223.94.
From its all-time high of Rs 239,944, the rupee has gone up in value by a total of Rs 17.

Dar, who took over as Finance Minister from Miftah Ismail, said that the real value of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar is below 200 and that the government is working on a plan to bring the US dollar down to below 200 against the local currency.
