LAHORE: In a significant development, sources informed Asian Trade News on Saturday that Lahore Qalandars star player Rashid Khan will be available for his club in the Pakistan Super League final.
It’s worth noting here that the reigning champions, Multan Sultans, and Lahore Qalandars, will square off for the PSL title on Sunday.
On February 20, the Qalandars’ right-arm spinner quit the PSL team to join his national side for the One-Day International and Twenty20 International series against Bangladesh.
He had been given a proper farewell by his colleagues and a big, loving hug by the captain of the Qalandars, Shaheen Shah Afridi, before he left.
One of the videos shows the Qalandars praising the 23-year-old bowler for his superb bowling during the season as he goes through their rows, linking hands with each of them.
Afridi-led Qalandars have been a revelation in the PSL 2022, taking 13 wickets in nine games. This is a lot of wickets for a team that has only played nine games.
Meanwhile, the PSL Technical Committee has agreed to let Fawad Ahmed play in place of Rashid Khan.
