Prime Minister Imran claims that Rs 400 billion has been invested in national health insurance.

FAISALABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said Wednesday that investing up to Rs 400 billion in the national health insurance scheme was a tough choice.

During a ceremony in Faisalabad, Pakistan, the prime minister said that in the past, people who could afford medical care for long-term illnesses didn’t get it. The state didn’t have to pay for it.

The prime minister made a sarcastic remark about the leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and the Pakistan Peoples Party.

PM Imran said that the status of Sindh’s hospitals is “appalling.” “Bilawal has said that he would rather invest in hospitals than provide free healthcare to the poor. He said that “who in the previous 13 years has prevented him from doing so,”
