A cryptocurrency called Litecoin (LTC) uses the unique capabilities of blockchain technology to provide speedy, secure, and cost-effective payments.
For more information on this project, please visit our in-depth analysis of Litecoin.
The cryptocurrency was created using the Bitcoin (BTC) system, although it has certain differences from Bitcoin (BTC), such as a hard cap, slower block transaction times, and a different hashing algorithm. Litecoin is perfect for point-of-sale transactions and microtransactions because of its extremely fast block time of just 2.5 minutes and extremely low transaction fees.
Five days after the Litecoin Network went live on October 13, 2011, an open-source client for the cryptocurrency was made available on GitHub on October 7. Since then, its popularity and merchant acceptance have gone through the roof, and for most of the time it has been around, its market capitalization has always put it in the top ten cryptocurrencies.
