PM Imran pays homage to World War II-era Soviet troops.

Imran Khan, Pakistan’s Prime Minister (PM), laid a wreath Thursday at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, a military monument dedicated to Soviet servicemen who perished during World War II.

On Wednesday, the prime minister arrived in Moscow. He paid his respects to the troops at the Kremlin Wall monument.

On the day, the Pakistani and Russian national anthems were played, and the prime minister paused for a minute to remember the dead soldiers.

This is the first visit to Russia by a Pakistani prime minister in two decades.

Prime Minister Imran Khan was met with a red carpet when he arrived in Russia for a two-day official trip.

The premier and his party were greeted warmly upon arrival at the airport by Deputy Russian Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov and Pakistan Embassy officials. Additionally, he was accorded a guard of honour.

The Prime Minister is in Russia at the request of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
