Prime Ministerial Debate Between Pakistan and AustraliaImran Khan will watch the first Test live from the stadium, according to Fawad Khan.
RAWALPINDI: Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Pindi Stadium on Friday to watch live from the stadium the first Test of Pakistan’s home cricket series against Australia, Federal Minister for Information Technology and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry said Friday.
The minister arrived at the location prior to the match, along with Sindh Governor Imran Ismail.
In light of the present political climate, Fawad made the following remark about the opposition:
“The opposition is unfit; else, [we] would have faced them.”
Pakistan elects to bat first in the Rawalpindi Test after winning the toss.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and opted to bat first on the first day of the Rawalpindi Test, as the Green Shirts’ batting order prepares for one of the most challenging matches in recent history at home and in front of a home crowd against a powerful bowling attack.
For Pakistan, Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafique began the scoring.
This will be the fourth Test at the venue since Test cricket returned to Pakistan in December 2019. Pakistan’s 2020 match against Sri Lanka concluded in a tie.
In the much-anticipated series, which began today in Rawalpindi, the Pat Cummins-led squad will play Pakistan in three Tests, three One-Day Internationals, and a Twenty20 International.
Rawalpindi will host the series’ opening Test and white-ball leg, while Karachi and Lahore will host the second and third Tests.
