KARACHI— – The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) fell against the US dollar by Rs 1.94 during intraday trading on Tuesday. This was the end of a string of gains.
Details show that the rupee was quoted at around 206.5 per USD, which is higher than the last close of 204.56 per USD.
The day before, Federal Finance Minister Miftah Ismail said that the news about the International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme being put off was a lie.
Miftah wrote on Twitter that it is silly to link the IMF programme to the anti-corruption law.
In his tweet, he also said that he was reading all the tweets and news stories and that none of them were true. He also said that the IMF plan is on track.
