ISLAMABAD FATF : After finishing a furious calendar of the two places of parliament during which the National Assembly and Senate stayed in meeting for right around two months, the two houses are presently set to have another bustling week initiating from Wednesday (tomorrow) where Kashmir and FATF-related enactment will come up for conversation.
As the National Assembly is planned to continue its meeting on Aug 7 and the Senate is meeting on Wednesday (tomorrow), President Arif Alvi on Monday gathered a joint sitting of parliament on Thursday to take up about twelve enactments, including those required to be passed to satisfy a portion of the states of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) against fear based oppression and the bills which had been passed by one house however couldn’t overcome the other house inside the protected time span of 90 days.
Extraordinary Senate meeting on Kashmir tomorrow
Conversing with Dawn on Monday, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan said the primary focal point of the joint sitting would be on passing the FATF-related bills and some different enactments of national hugeness.
He said the joint sitting had been made arrangements for one day, yet it could be broadened, if necessary, till the entry of all FATF-related and other significant enactments.
