NEPRA chairman: 60 million people of the country do not have access to electricity

ISLAMABAD: NEPRA Chairman Tauseef H. Farooqi has said that 60 million people in Pakistan do not have access to electricity.

Addressing a function on safety standards of power sector companies in Islamabad, Taseef H. Farooqi said that even today 30% of the people of the country do not have access to electricity. Not available, we also have to ensure security of power projects worth billions of rupees in the country.

On the occasion, Chairman Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission Muhammad Naeem said that Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission is also working in the fields of agriculture and environment. It will start generating electricity early next year. Safety is of paramount importance in all sectors but safety measures are very important in nuclear power plants.
