KARACHI: Leading Pakistani actress Mahesh Hayat has expressed anger over the portrayal of Muslims as villains in the newly released Bollywood film ‘Surya Vanshi’.

Surya Vanshi, directed by Rohit Shetty, is the first film to be released in cinemas in India after the end of Corona Lockdown. The film has done a lot of business in other countries, including India.
Attempts have been made to promote Islamophobia by portraying Muslims as villains in Syria, which has been widely criticized. However, Rohit Shetty says that in my previous films, Hindus were never criticized for showing villains. He said that portraying Muslims as villains in the film was not part of any special agenda.

Actress Mahesh Hayat says in her reaction that the new Bollywood film Surya Vanshi is promoting Islamophobia, this trend is changing in Hollywood and I hope it will be followed across the border too. If you can’t portray positively in the film, then at least do justice the way you show Muslims.
