IPL 2022: 3 players to avoid in fantasy teams for the match between LSG and CSK

CSK and LSG both lost their first games.

The reigning champions, Chennai Super Kings, will take on the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL’s seventh match. Both clubs lost their first game and will be looking for their first victory in this encounter. In the season opener, CSK was beaten by six wickets by KKR. Batting first, Ravindra Jadeja’s side managed only 131 runs for the cost of five wickets. They reached this total because of former skipper MS Dhoni’s 50* (38). None of the other hitters for CSK scored more than 30 runs. Only Robin Uthappa and MS Dhoni amassed a strike rate of above 100. CSK will have the option of recalling Moeen Ali, who was ineligible for the first game.

LSG were defeated by the Gujarat Titans by five wickets in their first game after reaching 158 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. This was a tight battle, which LSG lost as a result of several tactical blunders. Dushmantha Chameera of Sri Lanka, who made his IPL debut in the match, took two wickets in the powerplay. However, LSG captain KL Rahul did not allow Chameera to finish his four-over session. Additionally, LSG’s top order, which has some of the industry’s greatest names, was ineffective.

Three players to avoid in your fantasy teams for the LSG vs CSK game include the following:

Mr. Shivam Dube-

CSK paid INR 4 crores to secure Shivam Dube’s services at the 2022 auction. They faced stiff competition from the Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants, and Punjab Kings. Dube made his CSK debut against KKR and was dismissed for three runs by Andre Russell. He threw one over and conceded 11 runs. You may eschew Dube in favour of other all-rounders.

Evin Lewis, No. 2

Evin Lewis was acquired by the Lucknow Super Giants for his basic fee. Lewis is one of the most lethal hitters in the game’s shortest version. Lewis batted third in the opening game and scored ten runs off nine deliveries. He has scored over 1400 runs in 50 T20Is for the West Indies as an opener and has never batted in any other position for the squad. If he continues to bat at this position, LSG may not get the most out of him. As a result, you may avoid him throughout this game.

Santner, Mitchell

CSK is very certain to bring in Moeen Ali for this game, which would require Santner to sit out. Santner has been a member of the CSK squad since 2019 but has appeared in only five matches. He did not appear in a single game for the reigning champs the previous two seasons, and that might continue this year. You may ignore Santner on your fantasy teams and instead choose Moeen.
