In a recent report, a US regulator promises to “aggressively police” cryptocurrency. 

Because it doesn’t want to look like it doesn’t care about cryptocurrency, the U.S. regulator for commodities said it would take 18 different actions against digital assets in the 2022 fiscal year.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) reported on October 20 that 82 enforcement proceedings totaling $2.5 billion in “restitution, disgorgement, and civil monetary penalties either through settlement or litigation” were brought in the fiscal year of 2022.
