ISLAMABAD: Information and Communication Technology (ICT) exports rose by 29.29% in the first 10 months of this year, going from $1.7 billion to $2.198 billion.
ICT exports, which include telecommunication, computer, and information services, are expected to grow even more in the coming months, according to a statement from the Ministry of Information Technology.
Compared to the same month last year, when ICT exports brought in $193m, they brought in $249m in April of this year. This is a 29.02.pc increase.
During the month under review, however, export earnings were $11 million less than they were the month before, when they were $260 million.
ICT exports were worth $2.198 billion from July to April of FY22, and net exports were $1.665 billion, or 75.75 percent of that amount. During the same time period last year, ICT exports totaling $1.7 billion were worth $1.274 billion, or 74.94 percent of the net exports.
