Gas crisis has intensified in Sindh and Balochistan including Karachi while MD of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has gone to US on leave.
According to Sui Southern Gas, the demand-supply gap has crossed 300 MMCFD for the first time.
Officials say that the current demand is 1260 MMCFD for the first time at present, supply is being given 952 MMCFD while the overall shortfall has reached 302 MMCFD.
Officials said that a shortfall has occurred due to a technical fault in a gas field.
A spokesperson of SSGC said that 25 MMCFD gas has been restored some time ago and it is hoped that the gas field will be restored by this evening.
