Decline in gold prices follows continuous uptrend

Gold prices in the local market have declined in response to the recent consistent fall in international markets. The past few weeks have been volatile for gold prices globally, which has had a trickle-down effect on the prices in Pakistani markets.

The per-ounce price of gold in the international market fell by four dollars, reaching $2019, causing a decrease in local gold markets as well. The price per-tola dropped by Rs.2500, while the price of 10gm gold fell by Rs.2140 in the local gold markets.

Following the dip in international prices, the new per-tola gold price is now Rs.214,500, and the price of 10gm gold is observed to be at Rs.183,900.
