Babar Azam, Pakistan’s captain, continues to lead the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Men’s Batting Rankings, which were released on Wednesday.
Another Pakistani, in addition to Babar, made the top 10. None of the national bowlers, however, were able to place in the top 10.
Fakhar Zaman, a left-handed batter, made the top ten list in ninth place with 741 points.
With 256 points, Pakistan all-rounder Imad Waseem took seventh place in the all-rounders category.
According to the newly disclosed rankings, Babar is still ahead of former Indian captain Virat Kohli with 873 points.
India’s Rohit Sharma edged out Kohli for third place with 783 points, while Kohli took second place with 828 points.
None of the Green Shirts bowlers cracked the top 10 in the ICC bowlers’ rankings, while Pakistan’s phenomenal bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi was ranked 14th with 630 points.
Trent Boult, a left-arm pacer from New Zealand, is ranked first among bowlers, with Josh Hazelwood of Australia and English spinner Chris Woakes coming in second and third, respectively.
