Avalanche is now officially on Gemini, and the inbound transfer is now open.

Gemini accepts incoming transfers in AVAX, which is the native token of the Avalanche public blockchain.

Because of the listing, more people will be able to use Avalanche. On or after October 11 at 9 a.m. EST for deposits and October 12 at 10 a.m. EST for trading, the AVAX/USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD, HKD, and SGD pairs on Gemini should open on a rolling basis.

AVAX is now on @Gemini, which is one of the oldest exchanges in the crypto world. The AVAX deposit system is now live, and trading pairs will be added over time. https://t.co/wJoBJOxS5B

AVAX is the token that comes with Avalanche. It is a scarce asset with a hard cap that is used to pay fees, protect the platform through staking, and act as a basic unit of account between the different Avalanche subnets.

On the basis of time-to-finality, Avalanche is said to be the blockchain industry’s fastest platform for smart contracts. It also has the most validators of any proof-of-stake protocol to keep its activity safe.

Avalanche also says that it is cheap, good for the environment, and quick. Any innovative contract-enabled app that runs on Avalanche can do better than its competitors.

This is great news for people who own AVAX because it makes the token easier for more people to use. The AVAX/USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD, HKD, and SGD pairs are expected to be the first ones to open on Gemini.

Now that the AVAX markets on Gemini are open, it’s a good idea to look at the trading pairs.
