ISLAMABAD – Tuesday, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) agreed to a fuel cost adjustment (FCA) that will raise the price of electricity by Rs3.99 per unit for the month of April 2022.
According to the details, this decision will add an extra Rs51 billion to the bills of power users, but K-electric and lifeline users will not have to pay more.
NEPRA held a meeting to talk about the plan to raise the price of electricity by Rs. 4.5 per unit. In its request for an April fuel price change, the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) said that 12.55 billion units of electricity were made last month.
