Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) said on Thursday that there would be more role cuts as the company’s annual planning process continues into next year and leaders continue to make changes.
In a letter to Amazon employees, Andy Jassy, who took over as CEO of the company in 2021, said, “These decisions will be shared with affected employees and organisations early in 2023.”
Jassy also said that the company was in the middle of its annual operating planning review, where decisions were being made about what should change in each of its businesses.

Amazon hasn’t decided yet how many other jobs will be affected by the change.
Some employees in the online store’s devices group were let go on Wednesday, and a person with knowledge of the situation said that the company still planned to cut around 10,000 jobs, including those in its retail division and human resources.
