Ajman Police Use Metaverse to Start “Request for Sponsorship”

The Ajman Police General Command started a new smart service called “Request for Sponsorship.” This service uses the metaverse technology. The new platform, which was shown off at the Gitex Global 2022 event in Dubai’s World Trade Centre, will let people use avatars in the metaverse to talk to police officers.

The news was confirmed by a tweet from the Ajman Police Authority:

With this plan, Ajman Police will be the first police agency in the world to offer its services through metaverse technology.

On the second day of Gitex Global 2022, the Dubai Police General Command announced that the new version of its smart application, which has 70 services and was made with the help of new programming languages, methods, and artificial intelligence, was available.

The smart app for the Dubai Police can be used in seven different languages: Arabic, English, Russian, German, Chinese, French, and Spanish.

Also, Aster DM Healthcare’s Medcare Facilities & Medical Centres is the first medical facility in the UAE to be in the metaverse. They are planning a full-scale rollout of their hospitals on Web 3.0.

Dr. Shanila Laiju, the CEO of Medcare Hospitals and Medical Centers, said:

With this, we’ll be able to offer real healthcare services by having our team of more than 400 medical experts offer consultations in real time. We think that, in the long run, traditional “telemedicine” services will be replaced by the need for metaverse interactions, which will give our patients a more tangible and collaborative service.
Reportedly, Medcare teamed up with BIOmetaverse, which was made by DNAverse and Polygon Studios, and went live on October 11 to announce its virtual existence. The project fits in with Dubai’s long-term plan to become the world’s first metaverse hub, which was announced by the government in July.
