The PSL’s broadcasting rights were auctioned off for more than Rs 4 billion.

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has struck a milestone agreement for the broadcasting rights of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with a combination of public and commercial sports broadcasters.

Pakistani cricket fans will be able to watch the 2022 and 2023 editions of the Pakistan Super League season live on PTV Sports and Private Sports Channel (A Sports).

Chairman PCB Rameez Raja said that the consortium has secured the broadcasting rights for NatTV Broadcast Rights for the highest offer of Rs 4.35 billion, which is 50% higher than the previous cycle.

Rameez Raja, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, commended private television and the Pakistan Cricket Board, including state television, on the historic arrangement.

He remarked that the PSL has become our national identity, and it is fast drawing cricket enthusiasts. Cricket fans also go in big numbers to the stadium to witness the league matches and show their unwavering support for the PSL.

According to Rameez Raja, PSL is popular not just among Pakistani fans but also among foreigners, and cricket enthusiasts from all walks of life appreciate it.

The Chairman of the PCB stated that now is a perfect time since we have received an unprecedented price for the sale of television rights, demonstrating the importance of PSL as a brand.

It should be mentioned that the seventh season of the Pakistan Super League will kick off on January 27 at National Stadium Karachi and conclude on February 27 at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, with all matches taking place in Karachi and Lahore.
